Description about Bergland Tuine

Bergland Tuine (Pty) Ltd was founded by Mr. Gerrie Roos in 1970 and is one of the very first instant lawn and turf producers in the Southern hemisphere. The farm is situated in Delporton, Krugersdorp, adjacent to the Percy Steward Water Works, which is an ideal setting surrounded by koppies with a northern slope, which protects the instant lawn against the burning Southern wind and making the farm frost-free. The result is lush green grass even during the winter months.

Since the beginning, Bergland has produced top quality turf of international standard throughout the year, and built its reputation as the best quality turf supplier in Gauteng.

Demands and trends demanded by the industry, as well as diversification led to other, complimentary and interesting business units. These units all form part of our fabulous company.

Compost
Bergland supplies well matured, weed free compost in 3m³, 6m³, 10m³, 20m³ and 22m³ loads.

Topsoil and Lawndressing
Lawn dressing is topsoil mixed with compost (80% topsoil and 20% compost). We deliver in 3m³, 6m³, 10m³, 20m³ and 22m³ loads.

Fertilizers
Bergland supplies a wide range of fertilisers for a host of applications in either liquid (application with specialised equipment) or granular form to fertilise existing lawns, or new grass cultivation. Bergland will acquire soil samples for analysis at a laboratory, assess your needs and make recommendations based on the laboratory’s recommendation, providing a fertilisation program ensuring long term sustainability of your lawn, trees and other plants.

Pesticides, Fungicides and Herbicides
Bergland will apply fertilizers and spray pesticides, fungicides and herbicides on your behalf.

Domestic and Commercial Landscaping [Saturday, 30 January 2010]

Bergland offers design and execution of landscaping for esidential estates, townhouse complexes or individuals, as well as office blocks, residential estates, retirement villages, etcetera. This service includes turf supply and installation, irrigation design and installation, road islands, verges and sidewalks, large trees and plants, establishment of flower beds, external parking areas, landscaping of shopping centres and areas surrounding sports stadia, like drop-off zones, parking areas, etcetera.
