Double And Single Column Shower [Thursday, November 26, 2009]

The recommended type of shower is the platform operated, single or double column type. This will ensure that the hands are free to remove clothing and wash the contaminated parts of the body.
Usually an eyewash is attached to the frame of the shower. The control is independent to that of the shower controls and large enough to enable easy operation. It is also most important that this equipment is correctly maintained and all operators trained in its use. Both the safety shower and eyewash must be operational and accessible at all times.
