Equipment Design & General Engineering (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2001. Market feedback at the time indicated that there were a limited number of manufacturing companies in the market / industry, but most offered specific or specialized services, not many could provide a one stop shop alternative to broad manufacturing needs.

Today, EDGE offers a wide range of general manufacturing services and facilities.

In 2006, EDGE amalgamated with another company, Prenox Catering. Prenox operates within the Industrial Catering Industry and manufactures and supplies a wide range of industrial Kitchen Equipment and Convection Ovens. All products are now manufactured under the EDGE company.

CNC Laser Cutting [Thursday, April 28, 2011]

EDGE offers an extensive range of manufacturing facilities, one of them being Laser Cutting Services:

EDGE has it's own Laser Cutting Machine, 2008 Bystronic 3015 4.4 kw, the latest in laser cutting technology.
Furthermore, we have an in house Design Team to assist customers in the creation and / or fine tuning of the components or items they require, using Solid Modelling software.
We understand that some customers may not have access to design capabilities and may only have a rough plan of what they require. We are able to modify any drawing or sketch into an engineered model for the full manufacturing process.
