Land and Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa (Land Bank or The Bank) was established in 1912 to promote development of the agricultural industry. Land Bank is and remain a key financial player in the agricultural sector. It is holly-owned by the South African Goverment. The Bank provides retail as well as wholesale finance to development and commercial farmers, (individuals and business entities). It is the sole shareholder of the Land Bank Insurance Company (LBIC), which provide insurance products to the bank's clients.
