Welcome to charming and sophisticated Longbeach Lodge, Kommetjie, near Cape Town, offering relaxed and comfortable 4-star luxury self-catering holiday accommodation for up to eight guests.
Longbeach Lodge is a spacious and tasteful seaside holiday home with a romantic ‘beach’ pool set in a truly beautiful and totally private sub-tropical garden, less than a minute's drive or 5 minutes walk from world famous Kommetjie Long Beach – a beautiful, pristine, world famous surfing beach in the picturesque Cape Peninsula.
The accommodation comprises 3 luxury double bedrooms in the main house, the master en-suite with queen bed, the second with double bed the third with bunk beds, with family bathroom. A separate timber cottage provides a fourth luxury double bedroom with a characterful and fun ‘Out Of Africa’ outside shower bathroom.
Facilities include dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier microwave, TV with DSTV and a radio/DVD/CD/tape player, a wall safe, beach chairs and beach umbrella for the beach, camper cot, high chair, a safety net for the pool, burglar alarm, a large double garage and stacks of secure, off–street parking.
The three inside entertaining areas all open to an enchanting covered outside dining area with an 8-seater table lit by a real candle chandelier and a built-in barbeque, whilst a beautiful, tear-shaped “beach” pool sparkles in a totally private and lush sub-tropical garden, with deck chairs and a large sunshade. The galley kitchen has state-of the-art marble worktops.
Kommetjie has several excellent restaurants including Fisherman’s, renowned for its scrumptious seafood. Local activities include the beach, beach horse-riding, cray-fishing by boat, surfing and boarding, kayaking, scuba diving, bird watching, deep-sea fishing, hiking and whale watching. Picturesque Clovelly and Steenberg golf courses, the Constantia Wine Route and numerous characterful and delicious Kalk Bay and Simonstown restaurants are all under 20 mins away. Table Mountain, World of Birds, Kirstenbosch Gardens and the Waterfront are just a little further.
