First Aid Kits [Friday, July 15, 2011]

All our First Aid kits comply with the minimum standards set out by Department of Labour but you can ask for additional equipment to every kit, so that it then complies with your own special needs. Regulations in the law makes only provision for the minimum contents of a factory or shop/office kit and location of kits as well as signage contained in Section 3 of the General Safety Regulations (GNR. 1031 of 30 May 1986). Please email us at [email protected] and one of our friendly staff will get back to you. Note: First aiders in the workplace are a legal compliance requirement for all businesses – this is enforced by the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, Department of Labour and their inspectors. It is proposed that there be a minimum of 2 first aiders in each company, building or level and the minimum guideline ratio is 1: 50 employees must be trained in first aid. It is encouraged that as many people as possible be trained in this life saving skill.
