The birth of The Purple Pepper idea was in Africa, which was then taken to the UK & has been growing fruitfully ever since. The Purple Pepper has now returned to Africa with all desired traditional menus complimented with a European touch. We deliver services for all occasions including weddings, birthdays (including 21st), & christenings through to corporate events.

Our menus are versatile & can be tailored to suit every taste as we strive to create the best catering experience for all. All of our menu prices include plates, napkins, knives & forks and we can cater in any weather as we bring our own gazebo to cook under & tables to serve from, even in winter you can enjoy the taste of outdoors, as we will stand out in the cold, cook then serve your guests inside.

Outdoor Catering By The Purple Pepper [Sunday, January 31, 2010]

We have various menu options such as paella, braais and spit braais, which is prepared with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. We take pride in preparing those ingredients at the venue you have chosen. And for the sweet tooth, we have home - baked desserts like apple pie and lemon meringue and fresh fruit salad, served with cream or ice cream.

Our paella offers different options such as a traditional Valencian paella to our own take, the South African paella with fresh avocado, biltong and Boerewors. We serve the paella with a choice of three salads and freshly baked rolls. Our pans are suitable for cooking indoors and outdoors and are authentic paella pans.

Our braai menus are varied too, ranging from South African or British to our Millionaires option, which has tender fillet, Kingklip, ostrich and pork chops. As with our paella option, these are served with a choice of three salads and freshly baked rolls.

Spit braais are an all round favourite on any continent. Though styles are varied, we take our time to ensure that the meat is evenly cooked and juicy. We serve it with three salads and freshly baked rolls. We also have spicy potatoes and an accompaniment sauce. We have two types of spit braais; we have the gas operated version which is suitable for indoor and outdoor cooking. We also have the charcoal for the authentic braai flavour. Both types are motorized to ensure even cooking.
