Thatched roof projects: AmaZulu Lodge - St Lucia [Saturday, December 04, 2010]

With a total surface of 2400m2. of thatch roofs, covering 18 rooms, a restaurant and a stunning reception area, and with lots of wooden decks and walkways, AmaZulu Lodge in St Lucia is one of our all time favorites.The whole project was managed by Edwin Spiessens, whom recently joined Zamimpilo Construction.

Thatched Kruger Lapas [Saturday, December 04, 2010]

The third popular layout is a thatched L Shape. Again these are built to clients requirements and they can range from 6m x 6m upwards, and there is no limit to size.Typical to the Kruger Lapas are the corners of the thatched roof that run down to ground level.
